Greenhouse Update: Mid-June Growth

Monday morning brought a steady warmth to the greenhouse as the sun climbed. Ambient temperatures rose from a crisp 16.25°C at dawn to a comfortable 21.67°C by mid-morning. This warming trend was accompanied by a natural dip in humidity, which began at 55.3% and settled at a drier 41.3% as the day progressed.
Light levels surged throughout the morning, jumping from 288.3 lux to a peak of 781.7 lux. Our herbs responded predictably to the extra sunshine; the Basil and Oregano reached a high of 17.56°C, while the Chilli stayed slightly cooler, peaking at 16.69°C. The water temperature followed a similar, stable path, averaging around 15.79°C.
Soil moisture remains remarkably consistent across the board. The Basil is currently sitting at full 100% saturation, while the Chilli and Oregano are holding steady at 83.93% and 86.77%, respectively. These levels suggest the plants are well-hydrated and handled the morning transition with ease.
Atmospheric pressure remained firm, hovering between 1013 and 1014 hPa. While reservoir levels weren’t specifically captured in this window, the robust health of the soil indicates the system is functioning smoothly. It is a peaceful, productive start to the week here at Herb Hub 365.
