Sunday Afternoon in the Greenhouse: June 14

It was a bright, warming day at Herb Hub 365. The greenhouse temperature climbed steadily from a cool 16.27°C to a comfortable afternoon peak of 23.34°C. As the air warmed, the humidity dipped from a morning high of 56.4% to a crisp 41.1% by midday, creating a dry and pleasant atmosphere for the plants.
The light levels have been exceptional for growth today. After starting at a dim 49.2 lux in the early hours, the intensity surged with the sun, peaking at 318.3 lux. By early afternoon, the greenhouse remained bathed in over 315 lux, providing the herbs with ample energy for a productive day of photosynthesis.
Our soil sensors show a range of hydration levels across the herb beds. While the basil remains fully saturated at 100% and the chilli plants are holding strong at 81.26%, the oregano is feeling the afternoon heat. Its moisture levels dropped from 47.27% to 40.77%, suggesting it might need a light drink soon to compensate for the dry air.
The herbs themselves have warmed along with their environment. The oregano reached 20.94°C, with the basil and chilli following closely behind at roughly 20°C. Even our water supply warmed significantly to 20.38°C, while the atmospheric pressure stayed remarkably stable between 1016 and 1017 hPa, rounding out a calm and productive Sunday.
