Greenhouse Update: Mid-Morning Observations
What a vibrant day in the greenhouse! Our sensors captured data from early morning through the mid-morning hours on May 18th. Overall, the environment showed a steady, gentle warming trend, with the ambient temperature climbing from a low of 19.43°C up to 22.21°C by the last reading.
Light levels were quite active throughout the observation period. We saw the lux readings increase significantly, starting near 135 lux and peaking at 1272.5 lux, indicating a nice progression of daylight. Humidity levels remained relatively stable, fluctuating between a low of 41.7% and a high of 46.5%.
The herbs themselves showed consistent readings. Temperature remained steady across Basil, Chili, and Oregano, while soil moisture levels followed a natural pattern. Basil maintained a fairly high moisture reading, whereas Oregano showed a gradual decrease, finishing the period at 46.99% moisture.
It was wonderful to see the plants responding well to the increasing light. Minor dips in moisture were noted across all three varieties—Basil, Chili, and Oregano—which is normal as the day warms up and the plants utilize water. Everything appears to be tracking nicely as we move into the afternoon!
