Friday Afternoon Greenhouse Update
It has been a bright and productive day at Herb Hub 365. As the sun moved across the greenhouse, ambient temperatures climbed from a morning low of 20.92°C to a warm peak of 27.35°C. The air remained crisp, with humidity levels starting at 41.1% and gradually drying to an average of 34.57% by late afternoon.
Abundant sunshine flooded the beds today, with light levels reaching a maximum of 1250 lux. This peak solar activity kept the greenhouse vibrant, yet the plants managed to stay slightly cooler than the surrounding air. The basil, chilli, and oregano all maintained healthy internal temperatures, peaking consistently in the mid-24°C range.
Soil moisture readings highlighted a busy day of hydration. The basil bed showed the most significant shift, moving from 67.52% this morning to 58.85% by the final reading. The oregano remains our most well-watered resident at 72.86% moisture, while the chilli bed stayed steady, ending the period at 51.03%.
Atmospheric pressure held firm at 1012 hPa, providing a stable environment for the transition into evening. While the water reservoirs weren’t measured during this window, the steady decline in soil moisture across all three herbs confirms they are drinking well. It is a peaceful end to the day as the light begins to fade across the farm.
