Herb Hub 365 Morning Update: May 3, 2026

It was a calm start to the day at Herb Hub 365, with the greenhouse environment remaining comfortable and stable during our early morning monitoring. The ambient temperature averaged 23.1°C, while humidity levels held steady at approximately 40.6%, providing a consistent atmosphere for the growing herbs.
Light levels fluctuated naturally as the morning progressed, peaking at 194.2 lux before settling to 141.7 lux by the end of the hour. This gentle light was accompanied by stable barometric pressure, which moved slightly from 1003 to 1004 hPa, and a modest rise in air temperature from 22.92°C to 23.21°C.
The most significant change occurred in our soil moisture readings, specifically regarding the basil. While the chilli plants remained stable near 57.5% and the oregano stayed well-hydrated at 67.7%, the basil saw a sharp decline from 23.39% to just 7.98% by 7:00 AM UTC. We are keeping a close watch on these levels to ensure the basil stays healthy through the afternoon.
Individual plant temperatures remained slightly cooler than the surrounding air, with the basil, chilli, and oregano all maintaining consistent readings between 22.06°C and 22.38°C. Meanwhile, the reservoir water temperature was perfectly steady at 22.5°C. Despite the thirsty basil, the greenhouse remains a peaceful and productive environment.
