Greenhouse Update: April 12, 2026

The morning inside the Herb Hub 365 greenhouse began gently, with the first sensor readings captured just after 6:00 AM. As the day progressed toward mid-morning, the environment warmed steadily, with ambient temperatures rising from a comfortable 19.6°C to a peak of 21.6°C by 8:30 AM. This gradual increase mirrored the warming of the individual plant zones, where basil and oregano warmed slightly more than the chilli plants and water reservoir.
Light levels showed a clear progression typical of a bright spring day. We started with a soft 67 lux in the early morning, which climbed steadily to a peak of 454 lux by the end of the monitoring window. This steady climb in illumination suggests the greenhouse is receiving excellent natural light, providing the perfect conditions for photosynthesis as the sun moved higher in the sky.
Soil moisture levels remained stable and healthy across all plants throughout the morning. The basil and oregano maintained high hydration levels around 43% and 47% respectively, while the chilli plants held steady in the mid-30s. There were no signs of rapid drying or saturation, indicating that the current watering schedule is keeping the roots happy without any need for immediate intervention.
Overall, the morning session was a smooth operation with no alarms or warnings triggered by the sensors. The pressure remained constant at 1000 hPa, and humidity levels slowly dipped as the air warmed, a normal and expected shift. With the plants thriving and the environment stable, we are well-positioned to continue our growth journey into the afternoon.
