A Cool and Dry Afternoon in the Greenhouse

The afternoon sun warmed our greenhouse steadily, pushing temperatures from a comfortable start near twenty degrees Celsius to peak warmth above thirty-five degrees by late evening. While the air heated nicely throughout the day, we noticed that the water reservoir remained slightly cooler than the surrounding plants during this period of rising heat.
Humidity levels stayed relatively low and consistent, hovering around forty percent as dry spring air kept moisture in check. Light intensity shifted dramatically with the sun’s position; after a bright midday peak exceeding one thousand lux, values gently declined toward sunset, settling into softer evening tones by late afternoon.
Soil conditions remained stable across our crop rotation today. Basil and oregano held their moisture well above fifty-five percent, while chilli plants hovered in the low forties. As expected with a typical day cycle, we saw gradual evaporation throughout the period, yet no urgent watering was required for any of our herbs by closing time.
