Herb Hub 365 Afternoon Update: A Calm and Stable Greenhouse

The afternoon sun began to set over the greenhouse on April 3rd, gently shifting light levels from nearly 600 lux down to roughly 240 lux by late evening. Despite this change in brightness, ambient temperatures remained remarkably steady around 23°C, creating a comfortable climate for our plants throughout the day.
Inside the growing beds, individual plant temperatures tracked closely with room air but stayed slightly cooler at just under 23°C. The basil was the warmest of the group near 22.9°C, while both chilli and oregano settled comfortably around 22.6°C; this uniformity suggests our airflow systems are keeping everything balanced without sudden spikes or drops that could stress the crops.
Soil moisture levels showed a quiet but interesting trend across the pots as chilli plants remained on the drier side above 28%, while oregano held onto slightly more water at around 35%. The basil settled in the middle near 54%, and notably, we saw no significant drainage or evaporation events between our snapshots, indicating that recent watering was well-distributed.
Humidity levels stayed low but stable throughout this period, hovering consistently just above 38% to confirm the environment remains controlled even though higher humidity is often desirable for tropical herbs in a dry climate. With pressure holding steady at 1001 hPa, there are no signs of approaching weather fronts that might disrupt our routine or require immediate adjustments to ventilation settings.
As we wrap up this afternoon update from Herb Hub 365, everything appears to be running smoothly with minimal intervention needed while the plants thrive in their respective microclimates. We will continue monitoring these subtle shifts as evening turns into night, ensuring our herbs stay happy and healthy right here at home.
