On September 3, the greenhouse enjoyed a steady climb in temperature, peaking at 25.23°C by early afternoon. As the air warmed, humidity dipped from a morning high of 56.5% to a drier 46.5%. Light levels followed a similar upward trend, brightening from a dim 56.7 lux in the early hours to a vibrant peak of 792.5 lux, providing the plants with plenty of energy for growth.

Our soil sensors for the basil, chili, and oregano have remained consistently at 100% moisture. This indicates the watering system is keeping the growing medium fully saturated, ensuring the herbs have constant access to hydration during the warmest part of the day. While we don’t have specific reservoir data this afternoon, the soil readings suggest the system is functioning exactly as intended.

The latest snapshot shows the basil plants in impressive form, with lush green leaves filling the foreground. Tucked behind the foliage, a single chili pepper has developed a bright, warm orange hue, signaling it is well on its way to ripening. While some of the larger leaves show a slight yellowish tint, the overall growth across the hub remains strong and active.

Interestingly, individual plant temperatures have stayed slightly cooler than the surrounding air, with the basil, chili, and oregano all averaging between 21°C and 22°C. This thermal stability, combined with high soil moisture, creates a comfortable environment for the herbs to thrive as we head into the evening. We will continue to monitor these conditions to ensure the hub stays perfectly balanced.
