August 20: Afternoon Greenhouse Update

The greenhouse enjoyed a steady day of growth, with temperatures peaking at 25.56°C before settling into a comfortable 20.31°C evening. Light levels reached a maximum of 4870.8 lux, providing ample energy for the herbs before the late afternoon fade.
The chilli plant is a particular standout today. A vibrant, ripening orange pepper is now visible among the foliage, while a smaller green one continues to develop further back. The basil also looks exceptionally healthy, with broad, lush leaves filling out the space with great vigor.
Soil moisture for the basil and oregano declined steadily as the plants moved through their daily cycle. Basil levels dipped from 33.91% to 26.25%, while the oregano saw a more significant drop to 21.44%. Meanwhile, the chilli sensor remains fixed at 100%, which likely indicates a static reading or a very saturated root zone.
Overall, the environment remains stable with humidity averaging 53.22%. As the air pressure rises slightly, the greenhouse is settling into a calm evening. We will keep a close eye on the moisture trends to ensure the oregano and basil are properly hydrated tomorrow.
