Mid-August brings a warm, dry afternoon to the Herb Hub 365 greenhouse. Temperatures reached 28.39°C today with humidity at a crisp 31.5%. Despite the heat, a steady atmospheric pressure of 1016 hPa provides a stable environment for our summer growth.

The basil is showing impressive vigor, with lush, bright green leaves filling the frame. The standout today is the chilli plant, which features a bright orange pepper nearing peak ripeness alongside a smaller green fruit. The foliage across the board looks healthy and vibrant, showing no signs of wilting despite the lower humidity.

Soil moisture levels remain healthy for the basil and oregano, recorded at 72.68% and 75.06% respectively. We are currently investigating a 0% reading from the chilli plant’s moisture sensor. Given the plant’s healthy appearance and the visible irrigation tubing, this is likely a minor connectivity issue rather than a hydration concern.

Light levels were recorded at 51.7 lux during our midday check-in. While the plants look strong and leaf condition is excellent, we will continue monitoring the hardware to ensure the chilli bed sensors return to normal. It is a productive and colorful day as we move through the heart of the summer season.
