It was a bright, warm July day in the greenhouse. Temperatures peaked at 31.79°C, while humidity fluctuated from a morning high of 52.6% to a dry 26.5% as the afternoon sun intensified. Despite light levels reaching over 12,461 lux, the environment remains ideal for mid-summer growth.

Our herbs are handling the heat beautifully. Soil moisture for the basil, chilli, and oregano has held steady at 100%, providing the hydration needed to navigate the afternoon peak. This consistent moisture keeps the plants several degrees cooler than the surrounding air, protecting the delicate foliage from the summer sun.

The basil is particularly lush, with firm, vibrant green leaves filling the left side of the frame. In the center, the chilli plant is making excellent progress; a small, round green chilli is now clearly visible and developing well. We have a wooden stake in place to ensure the plant has the support it needs as it continues to grow.

As evening approaches, the air has settled to a comfortable 28.33°C under softening light. While the oregano tucked in the corner remains small, it is steady and healthy. It has been a successful day in the indoor garden, and we are eager to watch that chilli mature over the coming week.
