The morning of July 19th brought a steady climb in temperature and light. Starting at a cool 17.38°C at 6:00 AM, the environment warmed to 20.82°C by 9:00 AM. This rise was accompanied by a significant surge in light levels, jumping from a dim 171.7 lux to a bright 882.5 lux as the sun moved higher. Meanwhile, humidity gradually dipped from 52.2% to 40.1%, creating a drier, active atmosphere for the plants to start their day.

Visually, the greenhouse looks productive and vibrant. The basil in the foreground is particularly lush, showing off dense, bright green foliage. In the center, the chilli plant is well-supported by its stake and has successfully produced a healthy green pepper. While the chilli’s larger leaves appear slightly paler than the surrounding herbs, the plant remains upright and active. Tucked behind, the oregano is spreading nicely, filling out the container with its dark, hardy leaves.

Soil moisture levels showed significant movement throughout the early hours. The basil remained the most consistently hydrated, averaging 84.63% moisture and ending the morning at a full 100%. The chilli and oregano sensors recorded more dramatic fluctuations, with the oregano settling at 67.4% and the chilli at 30.58% by 9:00 AM. These readings suggest that the chilli and oregano may require a more consistent watering schedule to keep pace with the thriving basil.

Overall, it was a stable and bright start to the day. The plants are responding well to the increasing morning light, and the development of the chilli fruit is a great sign of progress. We will continue to monitor the moisture levels for the chilli and oregano to ensure they stay as hydrated as our flourishing basil.
