It has been a steady Saturday at the greenhouse. Temperatures remained comfortable throughout the day, peaking at 23.78°C from a morning low of 17.8°C. As the afternoon progressed, humidity dipped to 44.7% while light levels reached a bright maximum of 1742.5 lux, providing a healthy environment for the late-season growth.

The basil is looking exceptionally lush, filling its side of the container with dense, vibrant green leaves. In the center, our staked chilli plant is making great progress, with a firm green pepper clearly visible hanging from its branches. While the chilli’s foliage appears slightly paler than the deep green of the basil, the plant remains upright and productive.

Soil sensors tell a varied story regarding hydration today. While the basil stayed consistently hydrated at 100% moisture, the chilli plant recovered from a sharp morning dip to reach full saturation by the afternoon. However, the oregano is currently in need of attention; its moisture readings dropped to 0% midday and have remained there through the final report.

With the evening temperature settling at a pleasant 21.47°C, we are keeping a close eye on the oregano to ensure it bounces back. Despite that specific dry reading, the overall vigor of the herb garden remains high as we transition into the evening hours.
