Afternoon Heat and Thirsty Herbs

It has been a productive and warm day here at Herb Hub 365. Our sensors tracked a significant climb in temperature, starting from a cool 19.68°C in the early morning and reaching a peak of 30.05°C. As the heat moved in, the humidity levels naturally dipped, falling from a morning high of 57.1% down to 37.3% by the late afternoon.
Looking at the latest snapshot, the greenhouse is looking vibrant. The basil on the left is particularly impressive, showing off lush, deep green leaves and great overall vigor. In the center, the chilli plant is making great progress; you can clearly see a healthy green pepper hanging from the stem. While the chilli’s leaves appear a bit paler than the basil, the plant remains upright and well-supported by its wooden stake.
We are keeping a close eye on the soil moisture levels following this afternoon’s warmth. The basil started the day fully saturated but has worked through its supply, ending the session at 32.27%. Interestingly, the chilli moisture readings jumped back up to 100% late in the day, while the oregano sensor reported a sharp drop to 0% in the final reading. We will be monitoring these fluctuations to ensure everyone stays properly hydrated.
As the sun sets, the light levels have mellowed out significantly, dropping to just 30 lux from a midday peak of over 10,000 lux. It is a quiet end to a busy growing day, and the plants seem to be settling in well for the night. You can follow along with more live updates at herbhub365.com.
