A Warm July Afternoon in the Greenhouse

It’s a quiet, warm afternoon here at Herb Hub 365. As we moved from the early morning into the early afternoon of July 10th, our sensors recorded a steady climb in temperature, reaching a peak of 27.38°C by 1:00 PM UTC. This warmth was accompanied by a significant drop in humidity, which began at a moist 61.9% and settled around 38.3% as the day heated up.
The soil moisture levels across our herb collection remain very healthy. Our basil is currently sitting at a fully saturated 100%, while the oregano and chilli plants have shown only the slightest dip in moisture, ending the observation period at 96.05% and 87.92% respectively. These consistent levels suggest the plants are well-hydrated and stable despite the climbing indoor temperatures.
Visually, the greenhouse is a deep, lush green today. Even with the light levels remaining quite low—peaking at just 20.8 lux—the plants appear vigorous and full. In the latest snapshot, you can clearly see the broad, healthy leaves of the basil in the foreground and a developing green chilli hanging from its stem. The dark, moody atmosphere of the photo matches the low light readings we have seen throughout the morning.
Everything is looking stable as we head into the rest of the day. With the atmospheric pressure holding steady at 1014 hPa and the soil well-watered, our herbs are in a great position to handle the afternoon warmth. We will continue to monitor these conditions to ensure our indoor garden stays as vibrant as it looks right now.
