Warm and Dry: A July Afternoon at Herb Hub 365

It has been a productive and warm July 9th at the greenhouse. Temperatures climbed steadily from a morning low of 20.15°C to a peak of 26.36°C by early afternoon. This warming trend was accompanied by a significant drop in humidity, which shifted from a moist 63.4% to a much drier 35.2% as the day progressed.
Light levels remained low throughout the day, averaging just 18.39 lux. This dim environment is reflected in our latest snapshot, where the plants are cast in deep shadows against the wooden flooring. Despite the low light, the greenery remains vibrant; the basil in the foreground is lush and full of life, while the chilli plant stands tall and vigorous in the center.
Our soil moisture levels remain stable, ensuring the herbs stay well-hydrated during the afternoon heat. The basil is holding steady at 100% moisture, while the chilli and oregano are maintaining comfortable levels in the mid-80s. Although the oregano saw a slight dip from its morning high, it remains well within a healthy range.
The greenhouse is a calm scene of steady growth, with the afternoon shadows highlighting the rich green hues of the foliage. While we are currently without reservoir data, we are monitoring the soil sensors closely to ensure this healthy balance continues through the evening.
