A Warm June Afternoon in the Greenhouse

It has been a bright, active day at Herb Hub 365. Since early morning, the greenhouse temperature climbed from a comfortable 23.62°C to a peak of 29.42°C. This afternoon warmth was accompanied by a steady decrease in humidity, which dropped from 53.1% to a crisp 36.9% by late afternoon.
Light levels peaked at 292.5 lux, providing a healthy dose of energy for the herb beds. Atmospheric pressure remained stable between 1013 and 1017 hPa, allowing the greenhouse to maintain a steady rhythm as the sun moved across the sky. Even the system water warmed significantly, reaching 28.63°C.
Our basil remains perfectly hydrated, holding steady at 100% soil moisture throughout the observation period. The chilli plants saw more variation, dipping to 79.85% before bouncing back to 99.22% by the final reading. Meanwhile, the oregano soil moisture gradually decreased from 85.57% to 80.07%, showing the plant is making efficient use of the day’s resources.
Individual plant temperatures rose in step with the environment. The oregano reached a high of 26.63°C, while the chilli and basil followed closely at 25.63°C and 26.06°C, respectively. It has been a productive day of growth, and we are looking forward to seeing how the herbs settle in for the evening.
