It has been a warm and productive day here at Herb Hub 365. As the afternoon progressed, we saw our ambient greenhouse temperature climb to a peak of 32.28°C. Light levels reached a high of 207.5 lux earlier in the day, though they have since tapered off to a quiet 3.3 lux as the evening approached.

Our soil moisture readings show a clear picture of how the herbs are drinking. The basil has remained consistently saturated at 100% throughout the day. In contrast, the chilli and oregano have both seen a steady decline in moisture; the chilli dropped from a morning high of 91.2% to 76.24%, while the oregano transitioned from 46.75% down to 38.87% by late afternoon.

The plants themselves have managed the heat well, generally staying cooler than the surrounding air. The oregano and basil reached maximum temperatures of 28.94°C and 28.88°C respectively, while the chilli stayed the coolest of the bunch, peaking at 27.88°C. Our water supply reached a high of 30.94°C during the warmest part of the day.

Humidity levels have shifted significantly since we opened up this morning. We started the day at a damp 59.9%, but as the greenhouse warmed, the humidity dropped to a low of 36.6%, eventually settling at 42.1% by our last reading. Atmospheric pressure has remained very stable throughout these changes, holding steady at 1015 hPa.
