It has been a productive Saturday in the greenhouse. Temperatures climbed from a cool 18.37°C this morning to a pleasant peak of 25.16°C by mid-afternoon. Our plants followed suit, with the basil and chilli reaching comfortable highs of 22.5°C and 22.19°C respectively, keeping them well within their ideal zones for active growth.

Light levels were dynamic today, reaching a peak of 1,282.5 lux before settling to 323.3 lux as the sun began to dip. This sunlight kept humidity relatively low, averaging 36.98% and hitting a minimum of 32.2%. This crisp, dry air is excellent for encouraging sturdy stem development, particularly for our Mediterranean varieties.

Soil moisture levels naturally tapered as the plants remained active throughout the day. The basil moved from a lush 50.2% moisture down to 45.17%, while the oregano transitioned from 43.58% to 39.31%. The chilli soil remained the most consistent of the group, ending the afternoon at 45.12%.

Our water reservoir remains stable and cool, averaging 19.13°C with very little fluctuation. As we head into the evening, everything at Herb Hub 365 appears perfectly balanced, with all sensors reporting healthy, expected ranges for mid-May.
