Greenhouse Daily Update: May 16th
It was a warm and active day in the greenhouse as we monitored conditions for our herbs. The ambient temperature climbed nicely, starting near 18.4°C and peaking at 20.8°C this morning. Relative humidity remained stable, fluctuating between 40.4% and 42.9%.
Light levels were dynamic throughout the observation period. Intensity built steadily, starting at 128.3 lux and reaching a peak of 455.8 lux, which suggests excellent natural light exposure. Atmospheric pressure remained steady at 1002 hPa, providing consistency to our growing environment.
Soil moisture levels across the boards were quite consistent. Basil averaged around 49.6%, Chilli was near 46.6%, and Oregano averaged 43.2%. These readings indicate that the roots remained comfortably hydrated throughout the day.
Pot and reservoir temperatures were also stable. Basil averaged 18.29°C, Chilli averaged 18.16°C, and Oregano averaged 18.29°C, while the water reservoir temperature stayed near 18.35°C. Overall, the gentle temperature fluctuations and steady moisture levels created excellent conditions for our flourishing herbs today.
