Greenhouse Update: A Steady Start to April 17th

The morning began with the greenhouse settling into a comfortable rhythm, capturing six snapshots between 6:00 AM and 8:30 AM. Outside, the air was crisp with humidity hovering around 41%, while the internal environment felt pleasantly warm. Ambient temperatures climbed from a cool 21.36°C to a breezy 23.71°C by mid-morning.
Inside the growing beds, the plants were enjoying a stable and mild climate. Basil, chilli, and oregano all recorded temperatures in the low 20s, with the water reservoir sitting just under 20°C. Light levels were waking up nicely, starting at a gentle 122 lux and building steadily to over 800 lux as the sun climbed higher, providing a perfect backdrop for early growth.
Soil moisture sensors reported reassuringly high levels across the board. Basil was sitting at a lush 91% moisture, while chilli and oregano held strong at roughly 84% and 81% respectively. Throughout the observation window, the plants utilized a small amount of water, but the reservoir remained full and the soil stayed well-hydrated, requiring no immediate attention.
With pressure holding steady at 1012 hPa and no alarms triggered, the day’s early hours have been a success. The greenhouse is currently in a healthy state of balance, with temperatures rising naturally and moisture levels remaining optimal for the herbs. We will continue to monitor the conditions as the day progresses.
